Foods that lead to high amount of cholesterol in body!

Today everyone is aware about the waxy substance in our body which is also known as cholesterol. This substance in the body helps in building cells. The animal-based foods increase the amount of cholesterol in your body and the plant-based foods are naturally free of cholesterol. When we consider heart health, cholesterol isn’t a good name. When the levels of cholesterol increase in our body, it can affect our heart which can even lead to unfortunate incidents like massive heart attack or cardiac arrest.

Logical eating can always save you from dangers and keep you healthy at the same time. Foods with high levels of saturated fats and trans fats encourages the liver to produce more and more amount of cholesterol than our body actually needs. When the amount of cholesterol increases the required amount, it is termed as blood cholesterol which needs to be treated as soon as possible.

Having good amount of cholesterol in our body is equally important too. Lack of cholesterol in our body may lead to formation of plaque in the artery walls which may even extend to your heart and brain cells and can increase the risk of heart attacks. So high amount of cholesterol and low amount of cholesterol are equally dangerous conditions. Balanced amount of cholesterol is the major requirement here.

Butter is the most saturated dairy fat which we consume almost every day. It consists high amount of fatty acids. The consumption of butter must be moderate and should be consumed ideally. Nut butter or olive oil and walnut oil can be the best replacements for butter in your morning toast.

Soda is the main culprit in increasing levels of cholesterol in our body. High sugar intake can lead to poor heart health and it can ultimately lead to several heart diseases which might turn out to be incurable after sometime. Sugar must be consumer everyday not more than 25gms. A 12 ounce of soda consists of 40gms added sugar which is too risky for your heart health. So better avoid it.

Fried chicken consists of saturated fats. As mentioned earlier, saturated fats are responsible for leveling up of cholesterol in our body. It becomes even worse when you have it outside in some restaurant or fast food joint where it is fried again and again in the same oil. If you can’t avoid fried chicken, fry it in unsaturated oil or try the air fryer so as to cut the fat. When you fry it in oven, it is a healthy option.
